Lemon Tek: Get The Most Out Of Your Psilocybin Mushroom Experience

Lemon teking is a chemical process by which the acidity of the Lemons starts breaking down and converting the active hallucinogen psilocybin into psilocin, the bioavailable hallucinogenic compound. This acidic conversion enables compounds more bioavailability, so when they hit your stomach as an extract, you start feeling the effects more quickly than when you eat raw mushroom material. A major benefit is that the shortened duration allows for intense trips without the increased risk of the unpleasant side effects associated with consuming whole mushrooms.
Psilocin is a substituted tryptamine alkaloid and a serotonergic psychedelic substance. It is present in most psychedelic mushrooms together with its phosphorylated counterpart psilocybin. The mind-altering effects of psilocin are highly variable, subjective and resemble those of LSD and DMT.

STEPS TO LEMON TEK
Step One: Grind up your shrooms or truffles into a powder by using a coffee or cannabis grinder (blender could also work) and place them in a small glass.
Step Two: Squeeze the juice of one to two lemons over the powdered shrooms so that they’re completely covered in juice. Make sure that you cover it completely. Leave this to sit for about 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so. Although there is no exact time frame for this conversion, once psilocybin has converted into psilocin, it can oxidize, at which point it breaks down. As such, don’t leave it for much longer than this or you will degrade the potency. Optional: Some folks like to put their shrooms and lime/lemon juice in a shaker and constantly move it around during this time, while setting their intentions.
Step Three: Filter the juice through filter paper or a cheesecloth to obtain pure mushroom juice and discard the mushrooms. This is good for reducing nausea but could significantly reduce the potency depending on how successful the conversion was. Drinking the juice with the grinded shrooms will give you the strongest results.
Step Four: Drink as a shot.
Optional if nausea is your main concern: Strain the mushroom bits out of your citrus juice using a cheese cloth or a few coffee filters. Be sure to squeeze all the juice out into a glass. Then consume the juice only and discard the mushroom bits in a safe place.

Significantly faster come-up: As the conversion of psilocybin into psilocin takes place outside the body, the uptake time in the body is much more rapid.
More powerful high: Though this is disputed, most users report the effects coming on stronger and harder than when eaten plain or drunk as a tea. Intense visual high.
