World Mental Health Day Festival organized by Project Healthy Minds
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently hosted their first in-person event for their non-profit organization, the Archewell Foundation, as part of the World Mental Health Day Festival organized by Project Healthy Minds. The event featured a panel discussion with Carson Daly and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, alongside other notable guests.
The day began with a guided meditation session led by Will Cady, a former head of Creative Strategy at Reddit and global brand ambassador. The session, titled "From Anxiety to Creativity," promised to help attendees calm their nervous systems and unlock inspiration through a Seven Directions Meditation.
Following the meditation session, there were additional activities such as Vinyasa yoga and sonic meditation before an 11 a.m. talk featuring Robin Williams' son, Zak Williams. The talk, titled "From Tragedy to Triumph: The Story Behind the Story," explored Williams' personal journey and experiences with mental health.
The highlight of the event was the Archewell Foundation Parents' Summit, titled "Mental Wellness in a Digital Age." Hosted by Carson Daly, the summit featured Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as special guests alongside U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy. The discussion focused on building community and creating positive change for a safer online world for young people.
The day ended with a gala hosted by Daly in Tribeca, featuring a stunning art installation by famed artist Peter Tunney, co-creator of Miami's Wynwood Walls. The installation spoke to the state of mental health in America, and the evening was capped off with a musical performance by Grammy-nominated hip-hop star Logic.
The event was a significant step for the Archewell Foundation in its mission to promote mental health and well-being. With the support of notable figures such as Carson Daly, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, and Zak Williams, the foundation is making strides towards creating a safer and more supportive world for everyone.
It is heartening to see public figures such as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle using their platform to raise awareness about mental health issues. By hosting events such as this summit, they are helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and promote positive change in society.
Overall, the Archewell Foundation's Mental Health Summit was a resounding success, providing attendees with valuable insights and tools for promoting mental wellness in their communities. We look forward to seeing more events like this in the future and applaud Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their ongoing efforts towards creating a better world for all.
