Field Trip Health Will Soon Provide Psychedelics To Veterans In Texas
Clinics across the country are using ketamine for the treatment of mental health disorders like PTSD. Field Trip Health has opened a brand-new facility in Houston and is moving forward with ketamine therapies for veterans. Field Trip plans to provide MDMA-assisted psychotherapy to veterans with PTSD as soon as the FDA approves these psychedelic substances for therapeutic use. Field trip health expects the FDA will approve MDMA for the treatment of PTSD by 2023 and Psilocybin for depression by 2025. Texas Democrat, Alex Dominquez, authored a bill in the Texas House that would fund research on suicide and treatment-resistant PTSD in veterans, as well as a literature review of the existing studies on ketamine and MDMA's use and treatment of the disorder.
